Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Sexy Simo, the alias of Daniel Simpson, has been producing dance music since the year 2000, cutting his teeth in high school with a passion for the sounds that defined a generation.

Growing up on a diet of early Eurodance, Trance, Hard House, Rave and Hardcore, it was the electrifying energy of the late 90s and early 2000s club scene that truly shaped his sound. The euphoric highs of Trance in particular left a lasting mark, and that influence can be heard running through everything he produces to this day.

In 2012, Sexy Simo announced himself to the wider dance music community by winning the prestigious Defqon.1 Australia Producer's Competition, one of the most respected events on the Australian dance music calendar. The victory earned him a set on the Purple Stage at Defqon.1, and opened the doors to club performances including the legendary Masif Saturdays.

As the founder of Rising Phoenix Digital, Sexy Simo is now channelling all of that experience and passion into the label, with a catalogue that spans Hardstyle, Trance, and the classic Hi NRG sounds he grew up loving. His debut Rising Phoenix release brings back that timeless Hi NRG energy, a statement of intent that the old school is well and truly back.

Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Jaxon Nebz may only be 19 years old, but his love of music spans far beyond his years. Growing up with an appreciation for a wide variety of music including the classic sounds of the 90s and early 2000s, Jaxon developed an ear for quality from a young age.

It was his uncle, Rising Phoenix founder Sexy Simo, who inspired him to take the leap into music production. Under that influence, Jaxon began producing his own tracks in his mid teens, channelling his passion for music into something creative and unique.

His debut track, produced in collaboration with Sexy Simo, draws inspiration from the euphoric and uplifting Trance sounds that defined an era, a fitting introduction to an artist who wears his classic influences proudly on his sleeve.

Still only at the beginning of his journey, Jaxon Nebz is one to watch. With the full backing of Rising Phoenix behind him, the best is most certainly yet to come.
